Why Lingua?

Translation vendors either lock you into one engine or hand you a raw model to host yourself. Lingua sits in between: one small REST surface, two engines behind it, honest metering, and a dashboard that shows exactly what you used. Start on the free tier, move up when your traffic does.

How it works

    Create a key

    Sign in and generate an API key from the dashboard. Only a hash is stored on our side.

    Call the API

    POST text and a target language. The source is detected automatically across 25 languages, or pin it yourself.

    Watch usage

    Characters are metered on input only. Rate-limit and quota headers ride along on every response.

Every plan includes our self-hosted LibreTranslate cluster. Paid plans can opt into DeepL per request for premium quality on marketing copy, support replies or anything where tone matters. Identical requests are cached briefly so retries are fast and cheap.
